The Old Hotel - Hole In The Wall

Positive: The accommodation was "very bijou" but very well decorated.ect and tasteful to the area and that this is located within reasonable walking distance from the city centre. Negative: The staircase in the property was very precarious to navigate and that the handrails felt "loose" and evidence of repairs taken place prior. The kitchenette was okay for the purpose though don't expect any form of cooking facilities other than a kettle, toaster and microwave and that there were limited washing up apparatus as well. The bathroom door requires adjusting to lock properly and that the shower hose was showing signs of fatigue as well which is not ideal and that the wooden 'step' for the shower requires replacement as did not look clean. This accommodation did NOT come with any parking space so will suit the traveller on holiday better as a base to sleep, wash.ect

Positive: Excellent location very quiet, lovely 15mins walk into york. Apartment was excellent very clean and modern have stayed in one of the other apartments last year which was also excellent wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting york Negative: Nothing

Happy stay in comfort Positive: Location great. Very comfortable and clean. Cosy. Great shower/washroom after a busy day. Many useful catering facilities provided - microwave, toaster. Negative: Staircase is a little bit steep for anyone with dodgy knees, but is a great use of space. Car parking not available in this unit, so Council parking used which is not cheap. Factor to be considered.

It’s OK for a single traveller, but far too cramped for a couple. The mezzanine does not allow two adults to stand by th Positive: Location is good Bathroom good Negative: Very steep steps to mezzanine bed. Right hand side railing loose. Kitchenette sink tap only delivering a trickle of water. I could not rate the personnel, I met none. The rate applied for the car park was a bit pricy.
