The Old Hotel - Popes Head

Excellent property, great location. Positive: The property is very clean and comfortable, and wonderfully located to explore the great city of York. Everything is a short walking distance away. The check in and check out features were easy. The kitchen was also well stocked with all needed kitchenware, some tea bags and coffee pods. Overall, this is a great apartment and we would happily stay again whenever we visit York next. Negative: Nothing

Ideal apartment for short stay in York Positive: We stayed in The Pope's Head and had a lovely two-night stay. The property was clean, well looked after and nicely laid out. The kitchen was well equipped and there was lots of natural light in all the rooms. The location was exactly what we were looking for - close to York (15 mins walk) but with the added benefit of parking. The communication from the hosts was excellent, including the personalized check-in instructions for the specific property we were staying in. I would definitely stay there again and recommend to others! Negative: As there were 4 of us staying in a two bed apartment, another entry key would have been beneficial as we were often coming and going at different times. Clothes hangers and hanging pegs were provided, but some additional storage (perhaps small set of drawers) would be beneficial in the 2nd bedroom.

Positive: The Apartments where great and the location is perfect for a small wall In to town. Had both Lady Peckett and popes head apartments and where perfect to stay on. Negative: Only a 2 small things. 1. The checking in times are alright at 3 but check out by 10 can be a push. I would recommend maybe 4 check in 11 check out would be better. 2. Just needed more tea towels for drying pots etc as by the second day it was wet and couldn't really dry anything.
